November 9, 2011WTNH Petit Women Tribute Story Tune to WTNH News 8 Monday, Nov. 21, at 11 p.m. The newscast, with evening news anchor Darren Kramer, will feature a tribute story on Jennifer, Hayley and Michaela Petit. The story will air rare footage of a News 8 interview with Hayley Petit just before she stepped out for the 2006 Walk MS at Cheshire High School in Cheshire. Over the course of eight years, Hayley and her Walk MS team, Hayley’s Hope, raised more than $55,000 to support people living with multiple sclerosis. The work of the Petit women lives on through the generous gifts donated to the Hayley’s Hope and Michaela’s Miracle MS Memorial Fund. News 8 is a longtime supporter of the National MS Society. News 8 has partnered with the chapter for almost 10 years, promoting the chapter’s walk, bike and WAMS events. Darren Kramer, whose mother-in-law battles MS, has served as grand marshal for walk and bike events since 2005.
