Horses Healing Humans Inc., a therapy program run at the Spruce Spring Farm in Voluntown, has received a $5,000 grant from the Petit Family Foundation, its largest award ever, according to Lee Paradis, the program’s director and head instructor.

The money will be used to conduct workshops for women recovering from abuse, chronic illness, job loss and others stresses, Horses Healing Humans said in a press release. The weekend workshops will be held in June through September.
