    
The PETIT FAMILY FOUNDATION currently gives three named (JENNIFER, HAYLEY and MICHAELA PETIT) academic awards via the Plainville Rotary Club's annual program for members of the National Honor Society. These awards also serve as a tribute to William A. Petit, Sr., Past-President, Paul Harris award honoree and long-time Rotarian. In addition, there are Community Service awards given at Cheshire and Plainville High Schools to students who represent the idealism, activism and kindness demonstrated by JENNIFER, HAYLEY, and MICHAELA PETIT. We hope to continue to add another high school each year and welcome volunteers at surrounding high schools that would be willing to begin programs at their own schools. As we are a young Foundation, except for the named awards that are given through the local Rotary Club in conjunction with their ongoing program, we are mainly funding educational programs and not individuals. We hope over time to be able to raise adequate money to begin to offer individual awards.
