History of the Annual Petit Family Foundation Golf Tournament
The first tournament was held in October 2007. Since the beginning, Bernie Lidestri has chaired the tournaments. The first fourteen tournaments raised over $1.2 million, which has been used for grants to benefit the residents of Connecticut and around the country. Starting this year, Cheri Ziebka will be our chair for this year’s 15th annual tournament.

The Country Club of Farmington
The Country Club of Farmington was incorporated in 1892. In 1924, an eighteen-hole course designed by Devereux Emmet was opened. Over the decades many changes have been made, but the course continues to reflect much of Mr. Emmet’s design.
It is a par 71 course and plays about 6300 yards during the tournament.
October is a nice time of year to enjoy the views of the valley. The course is always well conditioned and ready for play. This year we will again have a double shotgun start in the afternoon.
