The Course
The Country Club of Farmington
The Country Club of Farmington was incorporated in 1892. In 1924, an eighteen-hole course designed by Devereux Emmet was opened. Over the decades many changes have been made, but the course continues to reflect much of Mr. Emmet’s design.
It is a par 71 course and plays about 6300 yards during the tournament.
June has been a great time for our tournament and the course is always well conditioned and ready for play. This year we will again have a double shotgun start in the afternoon.
Supporters
Jeremy Vitkauskas (CCF Head Golf PGA Professional) has always been the consummate pro and has been an integral part of the tournament committee. He has organized the players, obtained raffle and auction items, as well as Titleist golf balls for all the golfers in the field. Jeremy, along with his assistants, have tended to our golfers’ and volunteers’ every need. They have recruited polite and efficient bag boys to handle the rapid influx of players. These young men have graciously donated their tips to the Foundation each year.
The CCF House Staff, also under Jeremy’s direction, has helped with the tournament set-up and has kept things moving smoothly throughout the day. The bartenders and servers have also donated their gratuities to the PFF. Chef Mike has ensured that no one goes hungry and the food has always been superb.
Laz Parking again this year will donate valet services for our golfers and dinner guests. Also, thanks to Pete Rappoccio from Sign Pro Inc. for supplying the Tee Box Signs, and Lisa Roberge from Embroidery A2Z for supplying the Pin Flags for our golf tournaments.
We continue to receive donations from club members, friends and local businesses. Without their generosity the tournament would not be nearly as successful as it has been.
