The annual Hayley Petit Cup,originally scheduled for April 21st, has been moved up a week to April 14th. It will feature races between all the boats of both teams (Farmington HS and MPS) from the 6th boats to the Championship Race between the two school’s First Boats to see who will retain the Hayley Cup for 2010. Miss Porters has won the first two races in 2008 and 2009. Proceeds will benefit the rowing programs and the Hayley Petit ‘07 Memorial Scholarship Fund. MPS Boat House From Miss Porter’s School take Route 10 South to Meadow Road. Take a right onto Meadow Road. Travel on Meadow Road until Tunxis Mead Fields. Proceed on Tunxis Mead access road, passing all of the athletic fields. Follow the road to the recycling area. Keep left; go around the hill and follow the road to the Boathouse. The regatta will be held at the Porter’s/Farmington boathouse and races begin between 3:30-3:45pm. There will be a presentation of HAYLEY’S CUP at approximately 5:00pm or at the conclusion of the races.
